The practical questions.

Sessions are by telehealth for adults who are physically located in California at the time of the session. In-person availability and location should be confirmed with the practice before scheduling.

What languages are sessions offered in?

English and Farsi.

How long is a session?

Individual and couples sessions are 50 minutes.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Yes. Evening and weekend appointments are available, subject to availability.

Who do you work with?

This site focuses on adults and couples; ask the practice about fit.

What are your fees?

Please contact the practice for current fees. You'll know the fee before your first session.

Fees & Insurance

Do you take insurance?

The practice is mostly private pay. I accept a limited number of PPO insurance plans. Clients are welcome to inquire about accepted insurance providers and coverage options. A superbill is available on request, which you can submit to your insurance plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is up to your plan and isn't guaranteed, so check your out-of-network benefits first.

Fees & Insurance

Is there a free consultation?

No. The practice does not offer free consultations.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed, are charged the full session fee.

How long will therapy take?

It varies. There's no set number of sessions, and no one can promise a particular result or timeline. You and Dr. Fathi will review how things are going along the way.

What if I'm in crisis?

This practice does not provide emergency services. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. You can also call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
